The Birth of Inclusive Network advocates for every child’s right to live with their family. By fostering supportive communities and resources, it ensures that children, regardless of their background or circumstances, grow up in loving, stable family environments, promoting equality, dignity, and the well-being of every child.
The birth of this network came about 2022. A group of (numbers) organisations who work in child protection and reunification of children with there families met to discuss the situation of child separation in Nepal.
Some of the civil society organisation work exclusively with children with disabilities while others work exclusively with non disabled children. It was recognized that if civil society organizations are to support children and families, so they can remain in their local communities, it is necessary that organisations work together, sharing their experiences and practices. As a group we are stronger advocates for each child’s right to live with their families and receive services locally.
The Inclusive Network is highlighting the 2019 United Nations Resolution, which reaffirms key international agreements: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2008). This resolution places special emphasis on children who are without, or at risk of losing, parental care.
